MaSSHandra. 3D Network Diagrams.

The Cross-Platform 3D network diagramming tool.

With MaSSHandra you can create 3D network diagrams. It supports network diagrams, datacenter diagrams and office diagrams. MaSSHandra has a large number of built-in symbols for these diagrams and it has also a tool to create new 3D symbols expanding it's posibilities.
With the autodiscovery functionality you can scan your network and quickly create a diagram that later you can customize.
Directly from these diagrams, you can access the diferent devices using any of these protocols: SSH, Telnet, HTTP, HTTPS, RDP or launch custom scripts using data stored on the diagram as parameters.

  • Predefined L3 interface usage graphs. On L3 interfaces, you can open graphs of how much bandwidth those interfaces are using (In and Out traffic).
  • Customized floor. Load your own image as floor.
  • Elevations and buildings. Create terrain elevations and buildings. Each one with its own image.
  • Export your network diagrams to an HTML diagram (using WebGL technology).

11/04/2014. Version 2.0.13 for Windows ready.

We have released version 2.0.13 for Windows.
This new version fixes a problem found while minimizing and maximizing the window.

28/03/2014. Version 2.0.14 for Mac OS X ready.

We have released version 2.0.14 for Mac OS X.
This new version adds sandboxing on Mac OS X to improve security on this platform. It also fixes some issues found in Mac:
  • Printing not working in some computers
  • Open and save dialog problems.
  • Access to filesystem problems outside the sandbox.

This new version will only be released for Mac as it only adds this new feature on Mac and is fully compatible with version 2.0.12 of Windows and Linux.

09/03/2014. Version 2.0.12 for Windows, Linux and OS X ready.

We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0.12 for all platforms: Windows, Linux (32 and 64 bit) and Mac OS X.
This new version adds as main features:
  • Monitoring of devices from inside the diagram. Now you can check the status of devices in realtime using ping, tcp monitors or SNMP status or variables.
  • Routing protocol information. You can enter routing protocols information (OSPF, IS-IS and BGP) and MaSSHandra is able to paint it automatically.

02/03/2014. Version 2.0.12 for MAC OSX ready.

We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0.12 for Mac OSX.
This new version adds:
  • Monitoring of devices from inside the diagram. Now you can check the status of devices in realtime.
  • Routing protocol information. You can enter routing protocols information (OSPF, IS-IS and BGP) and MaSSHandra is able to paint it automatically.
We are working hard to have this new release on Windows and Linux as soon as possible. It will come in the following days.

14/02/2014. Routing protocols ready. Final step: graphical repesentation of routing protocols.

As a final step before publishing the new version with network monitoring and routing protocols, we are working in adding a graphical representation of these protocols. This way, once you have entered for example, OSPF data or BGP peering info, MaSSHandra can show you all OSPF areas, ASBR, RID, and peering relationship.
We are also going to modify the structure of IP Files and include importing routing protocol information using these files.
We expect to finish this month.

10/01/2014. Monitoring finished. Now adding routing protocols info to network diagrams..

We have finished the real time monitoring of networks and services. We are now working on adding routing protocol information into our network diagrams. We will add the following protocols:
* OSPF (Open Shortest Path First).
* OSPFv3 (OSPF for IPv6).
* IS-IS (Intermediate System to Intermediate System).
* BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).
The idea is to allow you to enter routing protocol information info into the network diagram and MaSSHandra to show it in a graphical manner.
We will not integrate these functions yet on the automatic diagramming features. This will come in our next version.
Once this is finished, we will publish our next version. We expect this to be finished before end of this month.

8/12/2013. Network diagram monitoring is finished.

We are adding a few extra functions to perfect the monitoring view in the diagrams and running tests to verify it works as expected.
The new version will be released in January.
After running tests for one month on live networks, we are also ready to publish the initial MAC OSX version.

23/11/2013. Network diagram device monitoring.

80 percent ready. There are the monitoring options we will add:
* Ping.
* SNMP ping (query a device to check if it is up).
* TCP services. Check if a TCP port is UP on a device.
* SNMP Values in certain ranges. For example, CPU oid between 0 and 80%.
* Interfaces Up. Check if the device reports an interface as UP.
We will also add support for storing and viewing OSPF data.

12/11/2013. What's next.

We are starting the development of monitoring functions on our network diagrams. We will add monitoring using the following:
* Ping.
* SNMP.
* TCP services.
We will also add support for storing and viewing OSPF data.

07/11/2013. MaSSHandra 2.0.11d for Windows released.

This new version adds:
* Grab and move function. This button allows you to move objects in a different way. It grabs an object and places it on the location where the mouse is pointing

07/11/2013. MaSSHandra now available for Mac OS X.

We have finally released the beta version of MaSSHandra for OS X. The download is now available.

20/10/2013. Version 2.0.11b Released for Windows and Linux.

We have released version 2.0.11 for Windows and Linux. This new version adds:
* Realtime graphs. Now, on L3 devices, you can create realtime graphs to monitor SNMP variables of devices.

* Auto-generated L3 diagrams using IP data file. Creates a full network diagram based on a file containing all interfaces of all devices on the network.
* Manual creation of devices and their interfaces using IP data files.
* Fixed error reading some XML files.
* Fixed error on coordinates of 3D texts.

We have released version 2.0.9 for Windows. This new version adds:

10/4/2013. Version 2.0.6 Released.

We have released version 2.0.6. This new version fixes some bugs detected when opening diagrams greated with previous versions.

30/03/2013. Version 2.0.5 released for Windows and Linux platforms.

We have released version 2.0.5 of the network diagraming software. This new version adds:
* Manual SNMP discovery of devices. You can create networks by discovering the interfaces of the devices one by one. Just paint the devices and MaSSHandra will configure the networks and interconnections.
* Auto discovery of networks. Solved one bug which could cause the program to crash. Now the autodiscovery works without problems. Paint a network with just a few clicks.
* Customizable data windows for elements and connections.
* Customizable remote accesses. SSH, Telnet, HTTP/S, RDP, PING. All them now allow to change the default port.
* HTTP and HTTPS remote accesses can include also different paths.
* Custom scripts. Now you can run any program using the custom scripts functionalities. You can use variables to reference different data of the devices.
* IP addressing of devices stored on the diagram and accessible for remote accesses.
* Printing (only for Windows).

Next to come:
* Monitoring and graphs of devices
* Embebed 3D SSH client
* Programable WebGL

7/02/2013. Version 2.0.4 released for Windows platform.

This new version adds a basic L3 network discovery functionality. This new feature will allow us later to add monitoring capabilities to the tool.
Other functionalities: remove meshgroups and change the meshes of different devices.
On our next release, we will focus on improving the windows of the devices allowing for customized windows and connectivity (things like changing ports on SSH, defining URLs, scripts, ...).

28/12/2012. Autodiscovery of Networks planned release.

We are planning to release the autodiscovery functionality by January 2013. This functionality will allow users to discover their network instead of painting it.

11/09/2012. Cisco ISR Series routers added to the symbol repository.

Cisco IRS routers 3D models can now be used in your diagram. These are: Cisco 3900, 2900 and 1900 routers. It includes all modules these devices can use.

30/08/2012. Version 2.0.3b for Linux released.

This new version solves an error which prevented MaSSHandra from running in some Linux distributions with certain openssl version installed. Thanks, Claudio, for pointing it out.

29/08/2012. Initial network autodiscovery tests run succesfully on Windows platform.

18/08/2012. Version 2.0.3b solves a problem when exporting to webgl diagrams in some computers (thanks Chris).

11/07/2012. Version 2.0.3 available.

This new release includes:
  • Exporting diagrams to WebGL (html diagrams you can upload to a web server.
  • These diagrams need a webgl enabled browser: Firefox, Chrome or Safari (in Safari, enabling webgl support).
  • WebGL diagrams are exported in a chosen directory. Upload all files to your web server or open the index file (only with Firefox).

23/06/2012. Initial WebGL tests run. Check out our first exported web diagram.

  • Use Firefox or Chrome.
  • In a few days, this feature will be included in MaSSHandra.

31/05/2012. Minor Release (2.0.2).

This new release adds a few functions:
  • Predefined camera types.
  • Create network diagrams using XML files. Useful to automate the creation of large diagrams.
  • Autorotating camera.
  • Fixes minor bugs.

23/05/2012. Symbol Repository Section Inaugurated.

In this section, you will find new symbols for network diagrams. The first meshgroup in this section is for Juniper SRX firewalls.

23/05/2012. Minor Release (2.0.1).

This new release solves a few bugs detected:
  • MaSSHandra unable to start on Windows XP 32bit due to an error reading the location of datafiles (thanks Scott for pointing this error).
  • Some elements on the map are not scaled correctly when more than 2 elements are bound together.
  • Some meshes scale too slow.
  • Hide mouse when moving objects.

11/05/2012. Version 2.0 available.

  • Version 2.0 is already available. New interface and new 3D meshes available.
  • MaSSHandra now available for Linux.
