We have also updated the following meshgroups to make them fully compatible with the shadow functions: blocks and vmware. We'll continue working on the rest of the meshgroups to make sure all them work properly with this functinality.

03/04/2016. Version 2.3.0 released for Windows and Mac OSX

On this new release we have added a few exciting features as well as several fixes:
  • Shadows. now all objects will cast shadows (as long as lighting has been configured to). Please note that for objects to properly cast shadows, they have to be properly configured. On previous versions, some meshgroups were not created to support this feature so, on old diagrams, shadows can create unexpected results. We have worked on fixing all the built-in meshgroups. In the next days we will be working on fixing all the meshgroups in the website.
  • Configurable lights. Now the lighting of the scenes is configurable. We support up to 4 lights of two different types: point lights and directional lights. We leave spot lights for a future release
  • Automated backup. Everytime you save a file, a backup of it is created before saving the changes. This backup is stored on the same directory as the file itself.
  • Fixed several issues with movement and elevations.
In the next following days we will release our Linux versions, security meshgroups and we will fix all the meshgroups in our Extra Symbols section so all them can cast shadows without creating artifacts
